Its not often that I get to say this: a languorous life is quiet luxury. Don’t underestimate the quiet part, more often than not the quiet part enhances the whole luxury part and makes it that much more luxurious. One does not often get to enjoy an uninterrupted time doing something they love for long periods of time with people whose company they enjoy. This makes a strong case for longevity, be it in prolonged enjoyment or stress free pursuits.
When one enjoys what they are doing they tend to spend more time in the zone. This special zone time is time that is spent well. While not always productively spent, the general sentiment of time in the zone is that of sheer enjoyment. I would say that time spent productively while in the zone should be the pinnacle of what humans seek out to achieve in life.
What would life be like without sheer enjoyment to brighten up your dull moments at times?
Would you be the same person without that passion and verve? To derive sheer enjoyment from working versus what most have to endure which is dull monotony?
